Overall, I found this a bit long and boring at times.

This picks up months after the last book and deals mostly with Vlad & Leila's relationship issues. While I do enjoy hot make-up sex scenes, it got to be a tedious. Leila wants Vlad to tell her he loves her. Vlad wants Leila to understand that words are insignificant. Throw in someone who is trying to kill Leila and you have the story. There are some developments that I knew would happen so I wasn't too surprised. Maybe it was just me, but this seemed to drag at times. Vlad hasn't always been a favorite of mine and at times he was such an arrogant ass. I don't care how beautiful he is, it was annoying.

Not sure if I'll continue this particular spinoff.
