Night Shift (Jill Kismet #1)

Night Shift (Jill Kismet #1) - Lilith Saintcrow 2.5 stars...didn't like it but thought it was better than just ok. This story started way to slow for me. I couldn't make sense of the world it was taking place in and felt like there was a book before this I should've read. Found out that this takes place as the same world of Lilith Saintcrow's Dante Valentine series. Aha! The pace and the interest didn't pick up until about halfway through. The constant mention of Mikhail was a bit grating. It was obvious he was significant part of Jill's life but the mention of his name on every other page was overkill.

Overall, good premise... good twists. Jill is clearly a warrior who doesn't let her past weigh her down...well, not entirely. Just wished the pace would've moved along faster. Not sure I'll continue the series.
