Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse, Book 12) (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)

Deadlocked - Charlaine Harris *sigh* Makes me sad to say it but this might be the last Sookie Stackhouse book that I read. I have loved the series but I've noticed a change in the last two books. I hung in there thinking Harris would pick up the spark again but alas, NO. My Sookie is just not the same. My beloved Eric is flat and even Pam failed to make me smile. I don't know if the TV series is to blame or not. I'm a fan of True Blood. I like it because it took the concept/idea of the series and spun a whole new story(ies) around it. Deadlocked was boring. More than half of it was a depressed Sookie, granted she has plenty to be depressed about but while in the past I would have cared, I found myself skimming... nothing really happened. Towards the end there was the usual action but it fell flat.

This is not how I wanted to part ways with this series. The series needs to either official end or Charlaine Harris needs to step it up - big time. It truly makes me sad.
