A Long, Long Sleep
Imagine being asleep for 62 years and waking up to a whole different world. What would it be like always being told you were not strong enough or smart enough? This book irritated me. Made me angry and sad and yet I fell in love with it. This is a sad story. Each page revealed a new layer of Rose's life. Both past and present. All sad. Despite it all she was full of quiet hope and I'm glad that the hope became a reality for her. I'm sure there is much more to say but I'm still processing.
