There are a lot of reason why I shouldn't have liked this. It's very "schooly". This features the mean girl, the hot new guy - Alex and the main character is the smart, witty girl who is prettier than she thinks - Scout. Also, big spoiler, there is a love triangle. I hate love triangles. For all these reasons I didn't think I would like it. Yet, I did. Scout was funny and clever. The plot was pretty predictable but it sucked me in.

I love that there are two groups of shifters - coyotes and wolves. Each has a Seer. A woman who has the power to see events. She is valued in the pack and holds a place of power. I have a feeling Scout is more than just human but not sure what yet. Big cliffhanger at the end!
