The Fault in Our Stars

The Fault in Our Stars - John Green I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about picking this book up. Too many people raved about it and so I read it without high expectations. Maybe it's the fact that I've been a bit more sentimental than lately (hormones?) but this was such a sad, funny, touching, witty, heartbreaking story. I bawled like a baby and couldn't put it down once I got started. John Green has created such a tender story of love and acceptance between two terminal ill kids, Augustus and Hazel. I thought it would be depressing but instead it was uplifting. The things we take for granted. The world we take for granted.

I'm sure the book has it's flaws like any other novel but despite of all these, I loved it. my puffy eyes and smile on my face are testament to this.
