There are some stories that just stay with you. You become so enraptured in the world, the characters, the emotions that when it ends you experience a certain loss. The Hunger Game series was one of them. It was on my "to-read" list for a long time and once I picked up the first book it was full speed ahead.

Having said that, I was disappointed with Mockinjay. From the beginning the love triangle twist just never worked for me. The writing lacked that beautiful flavor that Hunger Games had. The ending was depressing. I most definitely did NOT expect that ending.

So... yes, I'm sad and disappointed to see the way things ended for my characters.
